Jin Senses

Any djinni can sense jin in another of our kind through the combination of shahm and our perfect connection to the energy that is jin. Our jin-senses expand through the use of shahm so that all of the normal senses of our physical bodies are enhanced well beyond human ability. Shahm further allows us to sense through physical barriers, but not those made from jin.

With stronger effort, a djinni can shahm to the ends of the universe. Our power is great, as is our responsibility in using it.

Our shahm-senses also show us our connection to the energies beyond jin, and our connection to All. The djinn know that intimately, though most are content to go about their ageless lives without further contemplation.

Sometimes, we get glimpses of those higher realities, yet they are not open to us until we pass from this life. We know from the writings of the Seers that we also get an afterlife much like humans have seen for their kind. Thankfully, we do not lose djinn often enough to know much more than that.

Jin Ujja

The following powers can be easily willed to work without the use of any previous jin gesture:
  • Dakh (Manifestation)
  • Shafh (Shape-Change)
  • Somh (Levitation)
  • Shahp (Telekinesis)
  • Blinkh (Travel)
  • Virh (Telepathy)
  • Shahm (Expansion of consciousness)
  • Nikh (Empathy)

The following powers require more effort/concentration to be willed:
  • Dinh (Time Vision)
  • Rozh (Time Manipulation)
  • Hasd (Reality Manipulation)
  • Mehr (Dimension Manipulation)
  • Afhs (Transference of mind/magic power)
  • Chihs (Transference of mental power/ability)
  • Ynh (Anti-magic/Blocking-magic)

All powers can be willed, except for the stronger manifestations of that power. Examples are as follows:
  • Dinh – Distant times, whether in the past or future. Viewing alternate time-periods. Viewing the results of altered pasts and futures.
  • Rozh – Altering distant time periods or events. Changing time to erase events. Altering or stopping the calendar.
  • Hasd – Changing present reality over the whole planet and/or solar system.
  • Mehr – Blinkhim/create alternate universes, times, places, dimensions. Manifest/manipulate portals.
  • Afhs – Full transference of a djinni’s power to another.
  • Chihs – Affecting all mental powers/abilities at once.

Jin Gestures

Eyes: Blink | Wink | Squint | Flutter | Shut tight | Half-Blink (one flutter) | Mind’s-Eye Blink | Involuntary-Blink (including the SleepBlink.)
Toss of the head: up, or around
Nod
All finger gestures
Blink-pattern: multiple blinks of single eyes, both eyes, and mind’s eye
Blink-design: The entire process of the jin-blink - Intent, Imagination, Jin Flow, The Blink, The Sound, Results.

Blink
The blink itself has several components which are physical, mental, and jinil (magical.) The first part is the very beginning when the eyelid has gotten the muscle command to willfully blink, instead of the normal involuntary kind (there is also an Involuntary Blink, due to a human making a wish in the presence of a Djinni, as well as a version that is either blinked to work that way, or is one of our jin-ailments.) Jin is already flowing to the eyes at this point (or mind’s eye, if blinking that way) and the Jin-Sound begins. Depending on the type of blink employed by the djinni now depends on when jin is released during the blink. A half-flutter would release it with a blink halfway down the eyes. A full blink releases jin right as the eyes are shut and the lashes are flat against the skin. Upon opening from the blink, jin does the bidding of the djinni.

Jin can do its work at any point in the blink, depending on how the djinni wants it to happen. A djinni can even skip ahead to the end of a blink even though the eyes were not blinked normally. With merely the magical intent the eyelids are repositioned to the end of a blink, and jin is released, sound and all. That “blink” is most often used in emergencies, such as making oneself disappear before being discovered by a jin-unaware human.

Involuntary Blink
This blink is most often used as a prank against another djinni, though it is also the symptom of a djinni-ailment called OverBlink. Some of the new djinn that are privy to human terminology have created another aspect to the blink from that name, though it has not yet been officially named as an OverBlink.

The Involuntary Blink takes the last thing a djinni purposely blinked and repeats the blink every time the eyelids blink to flush the eyes. What is blinked can be changed if the djinni makes a new blink, especially if the last blink is relatively harmless, such as making a single feather appear. Whether the prank or the ailment, it is annoying to all concerned, especially when the last thing blinked was for changing time or creating a palace. Most of the djinn know to change to a different blink once they notice the first of the magical Involuntary blinks take place. Nonetheless, all problems can be erased once the ailment is cured or the prank removed and time can be changed back to normal again.

Sometimes a djinni may want to use the Involuntary Blink for fun with his or her master.

SleepBlink
Another involuntary blink is the SleepBlink. This is similar to sleepwalking, only with our blinks. Not all djinn either sleepwalk or sleepblink, so it is not as troublesome as it may seem. There is a cure, though Hadji does not require it. That choice is up to the djinni as to whether she can live with it or not.

OverBlink
The new term being considered for the OverBlink is a means of exaggerating every part of a normal blink. Widen the eyes, move the head forward as if “throwing” the blink, add a jin-squint before lids fully down, hold closed longer, and open wide again. It has been determined that an OverBlink can take the place of some minor blink-patterns, but not the more complex ones, unless a blink-pattern is made from OverBlinks. It is promising and will be studied further before made official for all Djinn use. The Mind’s Eye Blink can be used the same way, and has been shown to be even more powerful than a regular OverBlink, due to it all taking place in the mind of the djinni. Apparently, an expanded imagination is the key to how powerful such a blink can be.

The djinni-ailment by the same name causes a djinni to blink too often at a time. It is a rapid repeating of the same blink, which can cause quite a bit of havoc depending on the original intent. The cure is the ingestion of a tea made from flowers of the Altunut tree. All parts of this tree have a jinil power of chelation that works on djinn as well as humans. Its jinil effect on djinn goes into the jin and resets their connection to the jin. It is still unknown how or why the OverBlink ailment exists.

(The following is only for the eyes of consenting adult djinn.)

Blinks can take place without the physical eyes, as we all know. What adult djinn have developed between them and their partners over the millennia are some ways of blinking when physically present without using either the eyes or the mind’s eye.

Both sexes have navels and have managed to make a blink with them. The navel can be blinked from side to side or up to down, and every direction in between. The sensations are decidedly erotic to both, and it is normally only used when couples are being intimate with each other. It is considered exceptionally rude to use one’s navel to blink in public. Besides, as the sensations a djinni gains from such a blink are always erotic, there is no need to use it in public, except perhaps when embraced with your partner (that way all navels are covered.)

The NippleBlink is another of the intimate means of blinking and only available to our fairer djinn. Males can use it, too, if they change that part of the body appropriately. Again, it is an exceptionally erotic method of blinking, and can even allow pure jin to issue forth like milk.

Both forms of sexual-blinking have been with the djinn for hundreds of millennia and make for the kind of sex that can only be experienced by a jinil being like the djinn.

The Magic - Jin
Djinn are both of the jin and made of jin. Jin also considers itself to be the djinn. Both are interchangeable because of the very nature of the djinn. They do not truly have real bodies, whether they take human form or that of something else. When they turn into smoke, they are changing back into the visible form of jin. Normally, jin is not visible to humans. A djinni turning into nothing is actually turning into smoke, albeit it instantly. Humans cannot tell because they cannot see jin. All djinn can see jin, both when they use it and when other djinn use it. It always takes the color of the smoke for each djinni, even as the natural color of jin is a bright golden light.

The word for magic: jin

Note:
Djinn do not normally photograph, i.e., show on film/tape/digital/visual recording medium. If desired, this can be cancelled by blink-pattern or a photograph can be dakht if needed.

I have added a new gallery-folder and an explanation for it there. So have a look at this link to read more :)

Thank you, Feddick!
I haven't done anything lately, and am in the process of getting an external drive fixed. Of course, it's the one that has all of my original art and stories on it! I'll be glad to get them back and onto a new drive, as well as backed up onto another drive. I may even burn them to DVDs or Blu Ray, if I get one of those thingies.

I still want to post another Mindy story, once I've edited it into proper chapters. Unfortunately, it's also on that currently dead drive. I won't be making the mistake of having all that precious data on one drive again...

I wasn't sure if I could use your real name, so I was in a kind of "wait and see if he's still around" mode. Great to see you are! I hope you enjoy my uploads again :D

Thank you! And, yes, they are sexy, as I like them :D

The photomanips have been spread around the various centaur communities for years. Most of my drawings are usually only posted individually through Photobucket or ImageShack to whatever group or messageboard I'm on at the time that wants to see. I felt it was time to put them all in one place, and an appropriate one at that :)
